Fifteen Minutes
I have fifteen minutes before I head off to class to tell you about everything you can do in fifteen minutes. If you're like me, you hate starting things when there's no opportunity to work on them clear through to completion-- or at least to a natural stopping point. Fifteen minutes before X doesn't feel like enough time to do anything-- especially when it's a hard deadline. But it's plenty of time to do all sorts of things!
You (and I) just need to re-think that fifteen (or ten, or five) minutes. Instead of 'only fifteen minutes', it's 'an extra fifteen minutes!' to utilize.
Use the time to:
- Get supplies ready
- Add to an outline
- Clear a bit of desk space
- Do a little cleaning task
- (Re)read a short chapter
- Put things away
- Otherwise get ready and motivated!
(And sometimes it's perfectly fine to flop and use the fifteen minutes to decompress, too!)

I actually really like working in fifteen-minute intervals. Fifteen to read over stuff, another to write a little, a third for a break and then repeat. It's a nice way to break up the process of making things happen and makes me feel less overwhelmed by thinking of my creative time as chunks rather than a giant block.
Yeah, I actually find I'll make a lot more words in a limited span of time. I've started having google calendar schedule me 30 minute blocks three times a week and while I can go over that amount, knowing I've got a half hour blocked out means I usually get something done in that time.
Rereading the last thing I wrote or reading the outline (if there's one) of the next part I'll write is how I like to use those fifteen minutes.
It helps me to look forward to work on it, and also makes easier to start writing as soon as I've time to do so.
\o/
Admittedly, I mostly use mine to organize other things, like my desk, so I can actually find things like outlines...
This is basically the kind of thing I'm doing right this moment, lol; getting everything situated and me ready to go for when I do have more than fifteen minutes --
Also, stitch a few of those together when opportunity arises and you have a lot more minutes you were working ;3~
