Operational security, intelligence, and tradecraft related links and discussion.
Introduction, some thoughts, and plans for this community
Hello everyone. I'm cassidydulles and, as some of you may know, @opsecanimals on twitter where I tweet photos of animals with security slogans and general security advice. It's good to see this community steadily growing and I want to outline what I'd like to see from this community.
This to be a place to discuss security in general(not just OpSec as the name implies,) to share news and reading materials and also to have more substantive, in-depth discussions related to security, intelligence, counterintelligence, tradecraft, and things of that nature. I'd like to tentatively keep infosec and computer security postings to a minimum. By that I mean topics like malware, software vulnerabilities, crypto implementations, etc that would fit better in other forums like Imzy's /infosec community and not a blanket ban on anything to do with computers.
As far as growth and the future of this community it's good to see a steady trickle of users joining. As we get closer to Imzy leaving beta I will try to post at least daily and encourage anyone to contribute links and questions or topics for discussion. Personally I don't have many "internet friends" so to speak in infosec circles, but I'll promote this community on twitter a bit when Imzy goes public and if anyone feels like spreading the word on whatever platform it would be much appreciated.
I'm also open to any thoughts or suggestions people here may have, so feel free to share.

Hey @cassidydulles and /opsec! Really glad to see this community doing well, some fantastic content, I'm sure that's a trend that'll continue. I'm a Community Leader over at /infosec, I fully support your neat dividing point as to where the two communities may share talking points.
If there's anything we can do to help feel free to use the Helpdesk to drop us a line.
Keep up the awesome work!
Hey, I'm glad to see you here. I'm really interested in security but at a super 101 level right now. I mostly learned about it as we were building imzy so I could keep up with the team.
I really hope to see this community grow and I'll do what I can to support that.
