Blizzard's new first person shooter.
I raved about the Overwatch beta and convinced my roommate to preorder it
Mwahaha, the dastardly plan to circumvent my lack of disposable income has succeeded.
Anyway… What hero do you guys think needs the most tuning? I think everyone seems to agree Bastion needs something changed, but I've seen diverse opinions on what. Personally I main Zenyatta and am of the opinion he could use a boost to healing. A second Harmony orb, to allow the healing of two teammates at a time? Better health/second on the one?

I think its overall is pretty decent between the characters. While Bastion can be frustrating does he have so many counters (Genji's deflection, Widowmaker and Hanzo sniping, Roadhog hooks, Junkrats bombs etc) that I think he wont be changed that much. They already removed his shield (luckily) and increased damage he take from behind etc. : ) I think Reaper is more annoying; just blink in and ult to wipe out an entire team before you get a chance to react. xD
For Zenyatta, I believe that his LOS restriction needs to be lifted and made into maybe a short-medium radius so that he does not have to stay as close to the front lines as he is now. Buffing his HP pool wouldn't really be viable because then they'd have to tone down his damage as well, and sorry for the hearthstone argument but managing more than one discord orb and harmony orb seems really difficult and unnecessary.
I think Bastion is fine where he is, he just needs to have the self-repair nerfed slightly in either less health or higer cooldown.
Interesting. I kind of like his heals being LoS. I feel like a healing sniper. I just wish there was some way to boost the healing in a pinch besides using his ultimate. Something akin to Lucio's Amp It Up cooldown, to give a burst of healing every now and then.
What do you mean by "Hearthstone argument?"
Remember the long time complaint of wanting to have 9 deck slots and Blizzard said that'd it would be too difficult and time consuming for people to use (or something like that).
I don't really have an opinion on the healing in a pinch part of it.
Hm, yeah. A playstyle being cumbersome is a valid complaint. I remember Warcraft's dev team talked a lot about reducing the number of buttons that players need to manage.
Zenyatta was definitely too strong with permanent orbs. I like the change, but even with the slight buff to hps, he's not a great healer. He does a crap ton of damage though, which does offset that some. I think a good buff would be to drop his hps back down to 20, but double it for the first couple seconds. Would mean a good Zenyatta has to work at juggling that orb around to maximize heals, but it's not too overpowered on a single target.
Bastion is much better now than he used to be, he's at least semi-viable in higher games, but he's easily hard countered (Genji, Widow, Roadhog) so you really don't see him used much outside of low mmr games.
Tracer is the hero I hate playing against the most. A skilled tracer is extremely difficult to counter with Recall healing them, insanely high dps if they can aim, extremely fast ultimate charge, and easily runs away to pick up health packs if things turn south. Thankfully there aren't too many amazing Tracer players, but she's the one I see causing the most issues over time as players get better with her.
Did he have those at some point in the closed beta?
I kind of like that idea. Would there be anything to prevent him from throwing it around a lot to keep it doubled, or is getting him to do that the whole point?
For most of closed beta, his orbs would last until either he or his target died. It was really, really strong to put the harmony orb on someone like Tracer, Genji, or Pharah. They could flank behind the enemy to harass them, then just hide behind a corner to heal back to full without having to find a health pack.
Zenyatta is the strongest offensive support, so he'd have to choose between either constantly re-applying the harmony orb or attacking.
