running, designing, doctoring

All part of the job, apparently.

I finished my 7.2km run this morning! A compulsary exercise for all new doctors in the orthopaedic department, in addition to the staircase running that I've mentioned before somewhere... Didn't so much run, more like had a stroll through hospital grounds -- and who knew the hospital's land was so damn extensive? We ran through an old village that used to be a leprosy quarantine centre (historical!), an overgrown park (depressing!), amongst other things.

One of my bosses ended up with a fractured foot though :|| He's now a patient in our ward. Poor guy.

Quite a number of house officers are leaving our department this week :'( including my sister mentee, which means I'll be Mr W's only kid mentee until we get some new blood. Oh noo. I still haven't started on the assignment he gave me... only because I've been too busy designing shit for this department. Like, seriously. So far I've done banners and lanyards (which Mr Azlan didn't even use in the end. BETRAYAL), video edits, photo montages, and now I have to work on surgeons' business cards and the department 2017 calendar. I'M NOT BEING PAID ENOUGH FOR THIS.

On a non work-related note, I watched the film Jongens at 3am last night and it was cute.

I've got the day off tomorrow. Might start working on that assignment. Or I might go book-hunting, because I clearly don't own enough unread books, right...? /stares at bookshelf in despair
