No Man's Sky had way too much hype in my opinion if you look at the ratings it had Mixed Reviews on Steam.
It's okay for what it is and if you like that sort of thing you'll probably like it but yes the hype was absolutely insane. Not the least of which because some people were practically making up what it was going to be based on what they wanted it to be. So of course they're now upset that they didn't get what they were hoping for.
Then the Steam reviews are also reflecting the fact that - for at least some people - the PC version had/has quite a few issues.
That's 40 minutes I could be playing the game. I didn't believe the hype so the game is exactly what I expected.
