A community for discussing philosophy and philosophers.
Missing a tag? Let us know!
I've tried to add as many tags as possible for people to add to posts they want to make about certain subjects. However because of how many subjects philosophy covers I have inevitably forgotten to add certain tags.
So if you miss any tags, feel free to comment on this post so that I can add them to the list.

I don't have anything to add but I might metion that more isn't always better. I mean, it all depends on how you want to run your community of course but if you have too many tags it may become confusing for new people to know what to tag posts with, however as long as all the tags are being used, and can't be combined then that's all well and good too of course.
True that. My main reason for adding so many tags is that philosophy covers a lot of subjects, not all of which will be interesting for everybody. I suppose you could compare it to having "Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Psychology, Cosmology, etc." tags in a science community.
A Nietzsche tag would be helpful: the post I just wrote on Nietzsche would be more discoverable with that.
I'm a bit hesitant about adding tags for specific philosophers, as there are so many of them, even if we just stick to the well known or imporant(1) ones. It also has me worried we'll end up on a slippery slope. After all, some well known philosophers, like Plato and Kant, studied and discussed a large range of subjects. I suppose you could argue that if you combined "ethics" and "Kant" you'd already make it clear you're not really going to focus on the Critique of Pure Reason.
I'll at least add a tag for "close reading", that should make it easier to find your series at least. But if you feel we do need tags for individual philosophers, I'll be curious to hear your reasons why.
(1) not to mention the big question, "important to whom?"
P.S. I really need to get more active on Imzy again. I still want to read the article @Eliza linked on Morality, and I grabbed my german copy of Nietzsche's Beyond good and evil from my bookcase so I can reference the german text while reading along. The big step is to get into the habit of actually reading along.
I'll have part 3 ready sometime soon. If you want a co-mod, just let me know.
