Camping

I went on a camping trip this week. I and my family went up into the mountains where there is no service. For me this is a painful thing I am never without my phone and even if I don't have my phone I get all my updates on my watch. So I spent the last 3 days without any updates with what is going on with my team and my friends. At first, this was kinda hard for me. I really like knowing what is going on and just keeping track of it all. After an hour of not having my phone to distract me, I realized a few things:

  • I really enjoy playing with fire, and one of my boys is a pyro as well. It's cool to watch wood burn how the fire consumes it. This guy is my little pyro. image-1467999127831.jpg

  • I really enjoy cooking food. I can't say I like following recipes but when the recipes won't work and you have to just make it work I really enjoy cooking and making it up as I go along. no pics it wasn't worth looking at any way :P

  • A good camping chair can make all the difference in your experience. image-1467999253644.jpg

  • Tents like code are best when simple and easy to use. My current tent, I love it. image-1467999292110.jpg

  • My youngest child likes hates to sit still. image-1467999320197.jpg

  • When you get back to civilization you get hit with so much information that you didn't know you wore missing that it takes a day to just catch up with what you are doing.

Going camping was a wonderful break for me and my family. I am glad that they are willing to go and camp with me.
