12 Common Newbie Photography Mistakes to Avoid

None of us are perfect and we all make mistakes. While some photographers might be naturally gifted, and just do amazing work from the moment a camera is put into their hands, that is not the case for most of us. Chances are, if you are new to photography, you are going to muck things ...

I makes some of these mistakes frequently. Especially not paying attention to my background.

My first experience on a photography forums was getting chastised for not looking the background. The train bridge was growing out of my dog's head. I'm often shooting on the streets and have to move quickly so it is really easy to miss things like that.

Yeah, I imagine it would be. I've been so busy this week I haven't been out with my camera, I'm starting to go through photo-withdrawals.

      Interesting how?

I'm guilty of only the camera on my phone the last couple years. Recently upgraded (note V) and between my focus being spread in many directions the last couple months and having been super comfortable with the camera on my last phone I've not spent enough time familiarizing myself with this one.

I don't take many pictures of people and don't feel taking an odd cropping of architectural elements the same as lobbing off a foot, but it's a good reminder to consider any subject as a whole.
