A Couple of Birds

I saw this Yellow-throated Warbler up in the tree and managed to get two very quick shots before it flew out of view. I had the wrong lens on the camera and, of course, the auto-focus latched onto the branches. Bird photography is challenging that way sometimes. But with cropping and some post-processing, I hope you can enjoy seeing this tiny (about 5" or so) little beauty as much as I did.
Another challenging shot from this morning. This Great Egret was in a pond on the other side of a chain link fence. I had the lens right up against one of the links so that I could shoot through the fence and attempt to get a decent shot. Not too bad, I think.

These are nice shots regardless. The things we find are never perfect. We have to work with what we have. 😋
Thanks! And yes, you are right. I'd encourage anyone to go ahead and try for the shot. I'm always then pleased when I get better results than I was hoping for.
love the yellow throated warbler!! kind of jealous I haven't seen anything nearly that exciting around me for a while.
Thanks! I was excited to see it. It was in a tree by the bike path so I'm going to walk back over there this morning with the zoom lens already on the camera. Maybe I'll get lucky with another view. :-)
