Assignment #2 with a splash of Evil

I often shoot with framing and lines in mind. This top image was one of the first shots I took with my digital camera three years ago. The snow falling away from the window was so interesting to me on my way to the car for work I went back into the house and grabbed my camera to take the shot. Once I was editing the shot I noticed my reflection in the window.

This shot of the breakwall light last January is framed between icy railings on a nearby pier. The line of the breakwall leads the eye right to the light. This image is actually a two shot blend. One focusing on the breakwall light and and the other focused on icy foreground.

Selective blur takes a little more thought for me. This shot of a common grackel that I got this last spring has lines, framing and quite a bit of blur. Some of the branches were more in focus than I liked when I took the shot so I added a very slight amount of Gaussian blur in processing (+1.5) and further sharpened the eye of the bird.
