Hummingbird!

Hi. I'm still very new to photography and I slowly getting back into the hobby. Have a hummingbird who has been hanging out with me this week.

Very nice shot. I've taken a bunch of hummingbirds and I know how tricky it can be. Side note - what do you put in your feeder? We have trouble getting them to drink from ours!
It's at my mother in laws apartment. She says they use the food that came with the feeder.
Thanks. We've tried buying stuff but they seem to examine it and just fly off.
People usually use simple sugar water, I believe. Otherwise there is hummingbird nectar you can buy from the store.
I get hummingbird nectar because if you're not careful, sugar water can ferment and kill your poor birds via alcohol poisoning :(
Yeast from the air?
Yeah and the heat, though not a problem right now lol Still, it was easier for me to just buy it and since the feeder was so colorful, I got the clear nectar.
wooooowwwww.... sweet shot! i dont think you're new to photography, this is a pro shot :)
Thank you but I'm no pro. Lol i appreciate the compliment
That's my buddy. I'm just letting you borrow him lol
And he is a cutie buddy
This is a great shot. Well focused for something that moves so quick.

What kind of camera are you using?
Canon rebel 5
Nice. You've done a great job with it on this shot. The composition, exposure, focus, everything. Hope to see more from you soon!
Jammin, meet my son in law :)
Yay! Nice to meet you Skylar! Welcome to Imzy and photopigs!
Most people know me by Ben, but that was already taken by the time I got here. :-)
This is really cool! The hummingbird is so cute and round and fat, I love it.
