People Shooting

I thought it was smart to leave an hour and a half earlier than the fireworks started, but was entirely wrong. This is (again) the Stone Arch Bridge. If you have a problem with big crowds, you probably will want to stay away.

There was time to waste so I walked around a bit to photograph people and then took my spot for the show.

I founds bands playing at each side of the bridge.

This is the skyline looking across the river from downtown (the ex flour milling industry) and the reason for Minneapolis.

Long exposure of people walking past trying to find people and spots to sit for fun.

Really enjoying the long exposure. Might try experimenting with that some.....great pictures! I'm always a little timid when it comes to shooting people/in the public. Always afraid someone's going to yell at me >.<
Me too. People look at you funny if you carry a big camera and gear around. They are automatically suspicious of your internet, perfectly harmless as it is. This is why I bought a higher-end point and shoot. I only take out the SLR and shoot people at big events like this: not out of place for me to have lots of gear.
I like these shots. And the long exposure is cool and ghostly. Love it. This series is so you!
Would you recognize these as mine if I had posted them anonymously?
Yes, I think so.
I think this is a potential challenge in the future.
