This is a link to a post on the personal blog of @ayamnotkambing which I thought would be of interest to this community. Hope it's okay to cross post/link.

I was going to post this link after I checked it out, but I just moved and won't have internet at home for a few more days. Oh how glorious that will be when it happens.
Living without internet is horrible. Hope you get back on at home soon.
Sawwwwweeeeeeet! Thank you!
Your work is not graded, you get no help if you have questions and you get no credit.
True. For someone like me, ie. strictly amateur, though it will be worth doing though for the info available.
I'm sure some of you guys will be able to answer any questions if I get confused.
I'm not saying we couldn't get useful info out of it. I'm sure we all could. I'm only saying it's just out there information without feedback. I'd love to tell you I'm a expert too, but this is only my 3rd year holding a camera and I still feel like a noob. I am really hoping we can get more feedback and guidance from those here with more experience.
I was reading an article yesterday talking about sensors, light, pixels and noise ratios. It made me more confused than ever. Still I'm determined to figure it all out... eventually.
Yeah, some of it is quite difficult to get the hang of. I see what you're saying now. Without feedback you could get totally bogged down or think you understand something when you don't.
Yes, I really need to focus more on the technicalities of photography, as I'm pretty much winging it.
