This morning's moon

This is a stack of 20 images I got this morning. 300mm; 1/2000 sec; f/10; ISO 800. No tripod. Stacked and blended in Adobe Photoshop. I'm on a mission this year to get good sharp images of the moon phases. I consider this practice.

Pretty good practice I'd say!
I'll do better. Over the summer I'd like a full set of moon phases, an aurora borealis and a milky way shot over Lake Superior. It's good to have goals. :)
Time to pull out that tripod then! :-P
For sure! I was just too lazy to find it and get it all set up. My focus (pun intended) was to get the damned software to work right. I also tried RegiStax6 which is specifically for astrophotography stacking. I didn't have any luck with that aligning all the images correctly this time.
