Which photo editor do you use the most? Why?
There are many more not included on the list, of course. Which one do you use the most to process your photographs?

I use PS CS5... because I paid a small fortune for it... and it is a damn good image editor... I also use Light Room, but mostly for organizing and when I make tech scripts for a play I use it for mass straightening and cropping... boy it that a time saver. Every now and then I use and old version of PS Elements 8... Which is also a damn good editor, especially for the price (which is sometimes free with a PC). Kinda irks me that Elements is almost as good as CS5...
And I use Gimp as well.
PSE is what I use for tweaking exposure, etc. Gimp more for applying artistic effects.
I used to use Gimp, but I wasn't very good at learning how to use it to edit photos more than just changing exposures and applying filters. : /
Gimp is not all that intuitive. It took me a long while to be able to use it effectively. But I found a set of add-ons called G'MIC that I installed. I use those quite frequently when creating photo art pieces.
I use the Lightroom Android app quite often.
I like the LR iOS app a lot but my phone storage is too full and it gives me an error most of them time. If I really need to process, it's usually sent to my laptop.
Gimp and Darktable.. Because I'm broke.. and usually shoot film anyhow...
I totally intended to put Gimp in the list. I'm broke too. I want to buy a D7100 to replace the D60 (nice in 2009, not so much in 2016). And now I see it's not $1600 anymore ..
I started with film ... it is way expensive.
Darktable looks like a really great alternative to LR for anyone that's interested. DPS wrote a comparison.
Photoshop CC. I import my images from my camera with Lightroom, search through folders later with Bridge and do my work in Camera Raw and Photoshop.
I subscribe to Adobe's Photography package. I do minimal processing and primarily use Lightroom. Lightroom's best feature for me is that it never alters the original image. It's impossible to accidentally save over the original.
I'll sometimes pull an image into Photoshop to correct things like "oh I didn't see that buoy in the ocean" and "oh crap there's a band-aid on the floor". I'll also do minor corrections for face blemishes. I shoot with the goal of no processing (other than converting from RAW) so tend to leave it alone .. also don't do very many portraits.
I definitely do not use LR anywhere near its full potential. I can barely fumble through Photoshop. It's definitely something I should learn, especially if I ever plan to shoot gigs for side cash. Shooting conditions are rarely optimal.
