Welcome to photopigs! Do you do most of your work with your phone? (A lot of mine is. I've never been one to lug a big camera around on a regular basis.)
Yeah these days it's exclusively on iPhone, I had an SLR back in the day (love a dark room and blank 8x10s) then a DSLR circa 2008, but budget and lifestyle these days a phone's just easy isn't it. Also I kinda like the challenge of it - you either have a good eye or you don't, regardless of what you're shooting with
Indeed. I know having my camera (phone) in my pocket all the time over the past few years has really improved my eye. I can connect with my creativity more regularly. I'm not much of one for landscapes or nature photography, so it suits me fine. I look forward to seeing more of your work.
I like nature shots, but tend to lean towards macro with most things, I used to have a big 300mm lens and it got me addicted! Depth of field galore! Look forward to seeing your work too 😁
Yep. My DSLR has a 55-300 macro zoom. I can get candid portrait-like, close-ups of people from across the street or capture intimate lichen landscapes on rocks. It's divine. :)
Brilliant! See I really miss that, secretly zooming in and catching little moments. I think we're still a few years away from phones being able to handle that
Thanks, I try to be careful with my framing. I saw a photo challenge today about deliberately ignoring the rule of thirds...turns out I can't bring myself to do that!
LOL! I understand. I'm pretty wedded to the rule of thirds myself. The exception is wildlife photography because those critters so often move and disrupt the framing. ;-)
Sweet land of depth of field. That's almost impossible with the 6! Wonderful!
I agree it's definitely much harder with the 6! The portrait mode is still in Beta so it's a bit crude, but still a lot of fun to play with!

I just opened my twitter feed to this and giggled. https://twitter.com/AndrewMayne/status/792275464018550784
😂 So real! Lol
He then did a 30-second slo-mo of syrup pouring. I'm not even sure why it's so hilarious, but it is.
I saw it, its brilliant!
That worked out really well. Love the way you've divided the frame.

Yeah they have no respect! lol
After Lightroom...
