5 Places to Beat the Heat While Exploring the Pacific Northwest
Summer is here, maybe. Actually, it comes and goes every few days. We're still trying to figure out this crazy weather. However, when the sun is around it warms up quite a bit! Enough to discourage many from leaving home to explore. We don't want you to stop your adventures because of the heat.

Great recommendations in this post. I recall your photos from Ape Cave and I really enjoyed seeing them. I have been looking for some forested hikes along rivers and what nots to escape the burning orb in the sky.
Forested hikes along rivers are an excellent option when that orb in the sky is preventing you from enjoying your day! Thanks for reading the post :-)
Sorry for the late response, so much going on lately. Have a great Thursday!
PS I'm clicking the green check mark (post as a leader) because I can. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to do that or not, but it feels right and it's fun. We'll catch up on Imzy updates, @TheLizardQueen's awesome posts, and the rest of the community soon! Happy Thursday :-)
What kind of adventures are on the agenda this week?
Not sure yet. We almost always wait until the last minute to figure it out. We talked a bit about camping but still have figured out where yet. What about you?
I dunno we walked 11.5 km today! Found a nice (short) local trail. So right now I don't feel like moving! The car is getting fixed today so hopefully that means adventures in the near future. We have the camping itch but purged all our supplies before our big cross province move (and lost access to family supplies because they didn't move too!) so I figure we'll shop some sales and start building our camp kit again.
Lol at the reason for losing family supplies 😂
A five hour drive plus a ferry trip seems silly to borrow a tent LOL.
