Nice! I've caught enough Magikarp to evolve into a Gyrados now, thanks to the water event, but I'm not use if I should do it now, or hold out on the hopes of finding a shiny.
I'm waiting to get a shiny one myself. If the Golden Karp fails to appear before the 30th, then the highest IV Karp gets it.
I'd consider it an even longer shot of finding a shiny Karp after the event than it already is now.
Little blue aura means it was recently caught.
IV's are "hidden stats" you can't read just by looking at the basic information. If you hit "Appraie" your Leader (Spark for me) will have some flavor text. Depending on what they say, you can guess the IV by how excited they are/how much praise they give.
I have a shiny magikarp, but I'd still rather evolve one with high IVs! I wish the shinies automatically had perfect ivs 😕

I'd wait and see if you get a shiny tbh. I already have one garydos, but am saving up for a second one and am hoping for a shiny

Tbh i have no idea to tell the IV? So i always evolve highest cp. Also does anyone know what it means when a Pokémon has a little blue aura around it?
