This is really cool. You answer your stance on a whole bunch of issues, then you get to see who you match best with and compare answers

Great way to actually break down who makes the most sense based on your own beliefs and also just succinctly get all the stances of each politician in one place, which seems impossible to do.

I got 93% Bernie, 88% Hillary, though I'd most likely vote for Bernie. In fact I would vote Kasich over Hillary any day. I probably would've gotten 99% if it weren't for the amount of times I chose "other stance" xD
I got 99% Bernie. 😄
But I also got 93% Hillary, so I guess that's pretty good for me to settle.
Curious, why do you support Kasich over Hillary?
Well I actually don't know that much about Kasich, but what I intended to say was that if you can vote only for a democrat or a republican in the primaries, I'd vote kasich (despite him being too far back now), if it weren't for bernie of course. I think Kasich is one of the most moderate candidates out there and really has the potential to bridge the republican and democratic side, both in the political and public eye.
I think Hillary has slipped on too many issues to be a serious presidential candidates. Her policies as they stand now are mostly fine, however I can't get over the fact that she swung so much in the past, like she opposed gay marriage and now acts like she has always been for diversity. While I appreciate a democratically elected leader to listen to its people, integrity remains a large point and I think both Bernie and Kasich have a lot more to show for it. Shame Kasich didn't get that much publicity though, so I'm not all that sure about his ideologies.
Yeah, all good points. It's really too bad about Kasich. The most difficult thing is that when you're trying to become the nominee, you're trying to be the "most" Republican or liberal of them all to prove that you should get it, and that's usually who wins. Except that that person usually isn't the best for the whole country. If both sides could pick more moderate candidates, we might actually have a chance at having a real political discussion and people voting based on who they really think is best rather than just following standard party lines because the other candidate is WAY too far out there.
Definitely agreed with you on Hillary. I'm willing to take her if I can't get Bernie, and I'll absolutely take her over Trump or Cruz, and I think she'll be fine, but I'm not really excited about her or believe she'll really change things for the better much. I honestly don't know much about Kasich, but everything I've heard about him makes him seem pretty good and makes me sad that there's probably no chance he'll be able to get the nomination. :/
LOVE this quiz. I share it every time there's any kind of election coming up. It's so helpful, and really flexible.
My problem with this is that it encourages you to stay within the acceptable bounds of the political system, rather than consider alternative systems. If you're left of Sanders (like me), it pushs you back into the bounds of the mainstream.
Interesting. Are you referring to the possible answers you can choose, or something else? If the point of it is to tell you which political candidate you're closest to, then it seems like it makes sense the way it is to me. I didn't read it as trying to make you be any one thing, more just telling you who you're closest to. How would you prefer that it work?
