An Electoral College Revolt Against Donald Trump? Not Likely

An Electoral College Revolt Against Donald Trump? Not Likely

(WASHINGTON) - Republican electors have been hounded to abandon Donald Trump, but they appear to be in no mood for an insurrection in the presidential campaign's last voting ritual. This most untraditional of elections is on course to produce a traditional outcome Monday - an Electoral College ticket to the White House for the president-elect.

I do wonder, however, if a well-timed investigation would at all convince any electors, however few. Obviously by the democrats, but even by some republicans such as Mitch McConnell calling for a hearing on the CIA's findings. Of course the key difference between the two proposals is whether it would be internal or independent. The consequence being that a internal investigation and its findings could be pushed back/delayed long after its relevancy, and once Trump is in office.

Still, I agree with the their point; those electors will more likely than not tow the party line, which is to support the President-Elect, unfortunately.

well, that well-timed investigation only has three days to be proposed, if they'd really be convinced by that.
