NationStates: An online Nation/Political Simulator
I have been playing NationStates for a few years now. It is an online Nation and Political simulator created by author Max Barry. The basic mechanics of the game is quite simple, each nation gets a maximum of 5 issues per day and fate of your nation is based up on how you resolve these issues. There is also a World Assembly which is the equivalent of real life United Nations. You can rule your nation as you wish. Your nation can be a democracy, communist, fascist, anarchy or whatever else you wish.
What really got me hooked on NationStates is it's player generated metagame. Each nation in NationStates has to join a region, for example my nation is a part of a region called The Universal Allegiance. The real political conflicts, wars, diplomacy etc happens between these regions. Link to website: https://www.nationstates.net
If you do create a nation, consider joining my region The Universal Allegiance. Our region follows democracy in our regional government but allows individual nation to follow whatever ideology they wish except Nazism. If you join our region, look me up.. my nation is Lollerland. I can help you with the basics of NationStates and nation building :)
PS: I know this can bee viewed as a type of advertisement but I only posted this here because I thought the people here would be interested to know about a Nation/Political simulator.
