Paul Ryan's Plan to Change Medicare Looks A Lot Like Obamacare
President-elect Donald Trump and House Speaker Paul Ryan agree that repealing the Affordable Care Act and replacing it with some other health insurance system is a top priority. But they disagree on whether overhauling Medicare should be part of that plan. Medicare is the government-run health system for people aged 65 and older and the disabled.

Wasn't most of (I hate calling it Obamacare) the Affordable Care Act proposed part of or even most of the Republican's own Healthcare bill?
(Did my own digging and the answer is "sort of" as it always seems to be. LOL http://www.politifact.com/punditfact/statements/2013/nov/15/ellen-qualls/aca-gop-health-care-plan-1993/)
The ACA and Romneycare from Massachusetts are pretty similar.
Ah yes, that's what I was thinking of! Just didn't put in the right search terms. Thank you for that link.
It is still a sort of, the ACA was kind of modeled after Romneycare which was modeled after the Heritage Foundation plan from the 90's which was in response to "Hillarycare". The plans are not exactly the same due to the changes from a single state or the entire country and they each change a few things to achieve their goals. But the basic goals of the plans are pretty similar.
