The so-called "MAGA" guys are a totally separate group from the Trump supporters. They're called Proud Boys, and they're trolling Antifa for working to shut down free speech at Trump rallies. Calling them Trump supporters is questionable.

In the Twin Cities, the Trump people are extremely frustrated because Proud Boys show up to their events to counter-protest Antifa's protests. Trumpers hate them with a passion because they're antagonizing the anti-fascists and instigating violence.

In fact, at this same event in Saint Paul, Trump supporters declared friendship with Antifa, even though Antifa members had earlier pushed a older man down the stairs and then started kicking him in the head (caught on video) to keep everyone from entering the State Capitol and attending the rally.

It's really confusing, and definitely took time to gather all of the information, but my team was able to figure it out after the second violent confrontation by interviewing all three (or four or five) sides, and then discussing it after the event was over.

I can't believe how many news organizations are totally reporting it wrong, or biased, including respected papers like the Star Tribune, because they didn't bother to do interviews. This is lazy journalism, plain and simple, and it's no wonder why claims of fake news stick.
