Woman who has long criticized Hillary Clinton got paid by Trump ally

Woman who has long criticized Hillary Clinton got paid by Trump ally

At least one of the women Donald Trump invited as his guest to the debate Sunday night as part of his effort to paint Bill and Hillary Clinton as victimizers of women received a cash payment from a pro-Trump organization.

Well, to be fair, Hillary DID defend this woman's abuser in court when she was a defense attorney. This was the one where Hillary was caught on tape bragging about how guilty the guy was and how she got him acquitted. Pretty despicable, if you ask me. And you all know I'm no Trump fan. I'm just not a Hillary fan, either.

So Hillary did an important and necessary job well, and we're all supposed to hate her for it?

Shall we rewrite the constitution so that court-appointed defense attorneys are no longer assigned to people you decide are too unsavory to deserve a fair trial?

Why don't you post a link to that video you're talking about, while you're at it. It definitely exists, and you're definitely describing it accurately, so it shouldn't be a problem.

She laughs about how the case made her completely lose her faith in polygraph tests, because the polygraph said that the molester was innocent even though she knew he wasn't.

She got him a lighter sentence and out of prison based on a technicality with other evidence, even though she knew he was guilty of raping a child.

And all her propaganda is talking about her as being "a champion fighting for women and children", which, I think is a complete contradiction to what she actually did - she fought to get a child rapist freed.

        That's inexcusable in my book.

      • UrsulaTheMauveOct 11, 2016 at 7:02 AM

So what shall we do about the constitutionally guaranteed right to a fair trail? How shall we change the core of our country's criminal justice system to make you more comfy? Is every court appointed attorney required to do a shitty job when they think their client is guilty, or only Hillary Clinton?

      • GuyDudemanOct 11, 2016 at 7:37 AM

I believe that, especially in cases of rape and child abuse, if the attorney knows that their client is guilty, they should be required to enter a guilty plea.

Are you OK with this child rapist walking free? Really?

      • UrsulaTheMauveOct 11, 2016 at 10:20 AM

The guy plead guilty. They mention that in the link you posted. So, Clinton did what you think she should have. Except you also want her to have refused to do her job to the best of her ability. Which, as you must be aware, would have been against all legal codes of ethics. Which could have resulted in her being disbarred.

Do I think rapists should get harsher sentences? Sure! Do I think the court appointed defense attorney is in charge of sentencing? Of course I don't, because they aren't.

You are advocating for a system in which a person charged with a crime is not entitled to a jury by their peers. In your system, guilt would be determined without a trial, by a single person, based on what amounts to a gut feeling. Would you care to elaborate on why you think that system would be better than the one we have in place? Do you really think that allowing a single person to pass summary judgement is the best option?

      • GuyDudemanOct 11, 2016 at 10:21 AMΔ

Are you really saying that Justice was served in this case? A child rapist gets off with a few months of time served? And you're ok with that?

All because his attorney, Hillary Clinton, has absolutely no sense of moral decency and no conscience and actually LAUGHS about getting him off with time served? Is that how you roll? Because that's not how I roll.

      • UrsulaTheMauveOct 11, 2016 at 10:26 AM

I'm saying it's not a defense attorney's job to ensure "justice is served". That's what the trial is for. It's the defense attorney's job to defend her client. And yes, I am 100% in favor of a system where those accused of a crime are entitled to a competent defense, and entitled to a trial.

As I said, I do think people found guilty of rape should get harsher sentences. Do you want to take a guess at how sentences are determined? I'll give you a hint: its not by the defense attorney.

      • GuyDudemanOct 11, 2016 at 10:30 AM

I personally believe that anyone who would defend a child rapist who they know to be guilty is devoid of any semblance of conscience whatsoever. That person is evil. Sorry, but I don't forgive child rapists as easily as some of you.

      • UrsulaTheMauveOct 11, 2016 at 10:38 AM

I don't forgive child rapists. I do forgive people for doing an important and necessary job well. I'm also very glad that you are not in charge of the criminal justice system - that would be a truly terrifying world.

You realize that you are saying that Hillary Clinton should have destroyed her own career by refusing to do the job she was appointed by the court to do. And not just Clinton, but every public defender in the country. They all should refuse to do their jobs? Guilt should be determined without a trial? I'm honestly appalled that you think that. If someone accused you of raping a child, do you really think that you should have no trial and no defense?

      • GuyDudemanOct 11, 2016 at 10:48 AMΔ

Why would it be "truly terrifying"? Because rapists wouldn't be put back onto the street because of soulless defense attorneys? I can't believe you're defending rapists here.

What's a more terrifying world? A world where rapists walk free, or a world where rapists are behind bars. You and Hillary seem to prefer the former.

Can you PLEASE step out of "defensive mode" here for just a second? Can you PLEASE step out of "defend everything Hillary has ever done at any cost" mode? Please? Can you please just be honest with me here? Can you please just be a real person with a conscience here for just a second? Or are you incapable of that?

Hillary Clinton should have destroyed her own career by refusing to do the job she was appointed by the court to do

Absolutely!! Let me ask you this - If your choice was either:

        1) Lose your job, but a rapist is behind bars where they should be

        or

        2) Keep your job, but a rapist walks free

        What would you choose?

I would choose the latter. Sorry, but I would.

I guess I'm the bad guy for believing that child rape is one of the most serious and horriffic offenses imaginable.

Guilt should be determined without a trial?

Nice strawman, but no, I'm not saying that at all. There was a trial. The defendant plead guilty.

But it was HILLARY who made it so that he got the minimum possible sentence. It was HER work that set him free. She worked to set him free.

She KNEW he was guilty of raping a child. And SHE SET HIM FREE.

If someone accused you of raping a child, do you really think that you should have no trial and no defense?

Again, nice strawman. If I plead guilty to raping a child, I should be put behind bars for the rest of my life.

      • UrsulaTheMauveOct 11, 2016 at 11:04 AM

        I can't believe you're defending rapists here.

You can't believe it because that's not what I'm doing. I'm defending our criminal justice system.

But since you've now crossed the line into telling me I have no conscience, I'm going to disengage. You're an asshole, btw.

      • GuyDudemanOct 11, 2016 at 11:06 AM

I'm the asshole because I believe rapists shouldn't walk free, and Hillary's a saint because she actually caused a rapist to walk free, and you're ok because you agree with her. Okay.

      • UrsulaTheMauveOct 11, 2016 at 11:07 AM

You're an asshole because you're telling me that I support rapists and have no conscience.

      • GuyDudemanOct 11, 2016 at 11:10 AM

Well, you're the one who wants to see rapists walk free. Think about it for a minute or two. Get out of "defensive mode" and look at this objectively. You're advocating for rapists to walk free, and you're defending a person for causing that to happen, merely because "she was just doing her job"...

Do you also defend the Nazis who pulled the levers on the gas chambers too? They were "just doing their jobs" too, you know.

      • UrsulaTheMauveOct 11, 2016 at 11:13 AM

        FUCK YOU

      • zhemaoOct 11, 2016 at 11:18 AM

LOL, are we invoking Godwin's law already?

Get out of "defensive mode" and look at this objectively

The objective point here is that our criminal justice system is based on an adversarial system. The defense attorney doesn't get to decide for herself whether or not her client is guilty or innocent and change how she defends him accordingly. Doing so would subvert the system and stack the trial against the defendant. If every defense attorney acted the way you think Hilary Clinton should have behaved, we would not be able to give anyone a fair trial. If the result is that a child rapist walked free in this one case, well that sucks. But the underpinning of our legal system is that "it is better for a guilty man to walk free than for an innocent to be punished".

Guy, this is not how we comport ourselves here. You need to seriously consider if you want to be a part of this community or not. Come back in two weeks.

    • colbyklausOct 11, 2016 at 1:02 PM

you've absolutely distorted everything about this.

      1. she didn't get him acquitted. the victim's mom agreed to getting the perp a plea deal on lesser charges to avoid having her daughter go through a jury trial.

      2. her laugh in an interview was about the fact the guy passed a polygraph test, which destroyed clinton's faith in polygraphs because she knew he was guilty.

      3. she DID defend him because she WAS a public defense attorney who was APPOINTED to the case despite VOICING objection.

what's despicable is that you're willfully spreading this false information while claiming to be on such a moral high ground.
