That Dangerous Liaisons (1988) isn't on this list is a travesty! Great screenplay which is well cast and well acted. Glenn Close is the starring role and does an amazing job. Also, any of these other war movies could be replaced with A Bridge To Far (1977).

I almost had a party the day Shawshank finally beat out The Godfather for the number 1 spot (it was The Dark Knight's influence - which still sits at 4!) I'm so glad that it has stayed there for 8 years now XD
