I think, from the way they describe it, it's more like a fruity slushy. It's not really coffee. If I had known that, I probably would have tried it because I don't like coffee.
I'm for sure allergic to mango. I don't know what other fruits are in there that I'm allergic to. I seriously only took one sip, though--my daughter had the rest. I haven't looked up the ingredients and when I asked at the starbucks we went to, the barista told us it was made of magic. DD said she tasted the mango, and ex confirmed mango through a friend. Other possible culprits are melons and pineapple. I seriously doubt avocado in the drink, but that could be it, too, I suppose. (Starbucks used to use a red dye made of cochineal shells. I'm allergic to that, as well. They swore they weren't going to use that again, though I suppose they may have used it for this one thing.) Either way, at least the mango gave me an allergic reaction if nothing else.
"made of magic" well that's super freakin helpful thanks barista :/ I heard there's no red dye in it from a BBC article I read that eyes linked in discord the other day, but yes to the mango syrup: http://www.bbc.com/news/business-39641432
@Mimiheart, yeah I think it's the colors that trick people into thinking that this is insanely different than other drinks they consume. Very interesting how the brain dupes itself like that.
I don't know why. Who looks at it and says, "Yeah, that's a health food!" I mean, when I see things those colors, I think cupcakes and frosting. It's a dessert or a treat. So, yeah, it has a lot of sugar. But it's not a thing that you're supposed to drink 5 times a day every day. You're also not supposed to eat a cupcake for every meal.
Water is great! I keep thinking about cutting back on the caffeine and it keeps not happening. I drank a lot of water and only had one cup of coffee a day at one point and my skin was amaaaazing but I am currently typing this while drinking yet another cup of coffee so you can guess how successfully I managed to keep that up 😂 What sodas and juices are your favourites?
I think it's ok to enjoy some vices every now and then. Caffeine is not the worst of them. It's ok to treat yourself. Cutting back might be a good idea, but...meh...don't beat yourself up about it.
Oh goodness, I love most of them. Dr. Pepper, Cherry Coke, Ginger Ale, apple juice, grape juice, cranberry juice, orange juice, lemonade, pomegranate juice. I love ALL of them. If I'm craving soda, I usually have seltzer with with a splash of juice, but sometimes I'm can't help myself! 😣
Yeah I was wondering where the "it wasn't in my country" option was. But I would've wanted to try one cos I love ice drinks 😛 though it wouldn't have been worth a special trip all the way to central Southampton to get one 😁
My younger sister would love this, I on the other hand, drunk my coffee black....
I think, from the way they describe it, it's more like a fruity slushy. It's not really coffee. If I had known that, I probably would have tried it because I don't like coffee.
That said, I assume you don't like sugar so much?
It's creamer, I think it taste a bit too chemical for my taste but I do occasionally put a bit of milk in my coffee
The day they pay tax is the day I walk into Starbucks
Ok
Yes. I had one sip and gave myself an allergic reaction! (FYI, contains mango.)
You're allergic to mango only? Or other fruits too?
I'm for sure allergic to mango. I don't know what other fruits are in there that I'm allergic to. I seriously only took one sip, though--my daughter had the rest. Aww. When tropical fruits attack...
Are you feeling any better?
Yeah. That was on Wednesday. I'm good. :)

Cochineal shell dye isn't considered artificial.
They say "fruit and vegetable" https://mobile.twitter.com/CorinaBecker/status/854626358374412289
And magic. So much magic. I'm allergic to magic. DD tried to kill me with magic!
I'm seriously appalled the barista said "magic" instead of giving you a list of ingredients. That's some bad customer service.
Yeah, that's kinda frustrating.
Honestly, I think she was just done. It was the first day and they were out of half of the syrups.
This is a kind and patient response! (It is true, this whole unicorn thing must be an ordeal for them.)
59 grams of sugar...
That's 1/4-1/3 cup of sugar. Sounds like a good way to start an addiction :P
It's the same as any other milkshake.
@Mimiheart, yeah I think it's the colors that trick people into thinking that this is insanely different than other drinks they consume. Very interesting how the brain dupes itself like that.

I think because there are so many colors, everyone's like:
🚨SWEET! SWEET! SWEET! 🚨
Whereas a regular cupcake or milkshake doesn't scream so hard because it's like one or two colors.
Or diabetes...type 2.
Huh?
How much do we actually know about what starts type 2 diabetes? Certainly not a single drink yeah? 😅
At 50+ grams of sugar it seems like a start. Yikes!
😅 It's a good bit a sugar. I guess if we don't have it everyday we'll make it.
But it was a temporary thing so noone's having many of them!
They're not available in my country, I don't think? But even if they were my answer would still be no :3
Why is that?
I'm not into cold drinks, period! And I'm not that much of a fan of sugary drinks either so that's a double no from this end.
What are your favorite drinks?
Hot coffee, hot tea, and water without ice. That's about it for the nonalcoholic beverages, lol, I'm very boring.
😅 Well....those are quite good for you healthwise. Boring is good.
I loooove soda and juice. I drink only water 90% of the time so I'm mostly miserable. I wish my tastes lined up with health like yours do. ^-^

You should try melon soda sometime, too! It's pretty popular here and is a fun colour, haha.
Hmm...I've never heard of it although I'm sure some small corner of Brooklyn might have it.
Yeah I was wondering where the "it wasn't in my country" option was. But I would've wanted to try one cos I love ice drinks 😛 though it wouldn't have been worth a special trip all the way to central Southampton to get one 😁
Lol I think the "it wasn't in my country" option is covered by "No."
And who knows, maybe you'll get to try it in the future. 😅
Hmm but I had no option to try it rather than choosing not to try it 😁
Ugh. You're being too difficult. 😜😂
haha, sorry :D
