Being a Muslim (Moose-Lamb) with long limbs and a relatively small sink, I end up making a mess of water on the counter while making ablution, so the counter ends up getting unintentionally washed and dried several times a day. But I don't disinfect it that often.
I find comfort in knowing that people know what I'm referring to when I call it something. Somehow over the years, I've accepted that language is strange. As long as whatever is said doesn't hinder communication, I try not to take shots at anyone.
I prefer to do it every week. The longest I go is every other week. It's easier to clean that way. If I wait it's more work. I change the shower curtain once a month, though.
It's just worked into my routine. I give myself enough time before heading out to work to make sure everything is clean. I shed a lot so my battle against my hair is endless.
I'll typically clean it every two weeks, with spot cleans throughout. If I have guests coming over, I'll clean it before they get here.

A big clean every couple of weeks but quicker once overs a couple times a week
My... toilet and bathroom are separate rooms, but both of them get Properly Cleaned once a week and lightly cleaned pretty much every day.
A note for all our friends who don't have American/Midwestern vocabularies:
A bathroom is any room with a toilet in it. There doesn't have to be a bath in it at all.
Yes, I know it makes no sense but neither does ~50% of what happens in America anyway.
We can edit the poll to say "Water closet". That makes way more sense, right?
I find it even odder to say "restroom." I feel like a true restroom should be a lounge where you relax, not a small, tight room where you get clean.

if by "you" you mean my housecleaner...

Wait. This is talking about the shower and the tub.
The floor, counter, mirror, and toilet get cleaned everyday, if not, every other day.
Wow youre productive 😅
