Because Imzy is not supporting advertising at this time, our policies are able to be simple and straightforward: we collect some information about you to enhance your experience, we do not sell your information, and we only share your information with trusted third parties who hold the same policy.
We collect and store all the information that you provide us, including your email address, username, password, phone number, and other personal information gathered in the onboarding process. We also collect and store posts, comments, conversations, and everything you add or send to Imzy (“Personal Information”).
Other Personal Information we collect includes information about your use of Imzy, what you follow, click, view, subscribe, vote on, share, etc. That information, combined with your IP, device information, browser information, and other unique identifiers, which we also collect and store, helps Imzy create a service that works best for you.
The nature of the Personal Information means that some of it will be collected upon your submission to the site, like when you post or comment or submit a new username. Some of your Personal Information will be collected passively, like your browser or phone’s unique identifiers.
Imzy does not store your payment information directly on our servers. Instead, we provide the option for you to store your payment information with Stripe if you so choose.
Your information is private and not for sale by Imzy. It is only used internally so we can display the content you share, show you the content you are most interested in, provide customer service, send you notifications and other communications, and learn how to better serve our users. To keep Imzy working, we do integrate with some third party service providers. However, we only share your personal information with third party service providers who uphold our disclosure standard.
Imzy respects our users’ rights and privacy. If we receive a request for your information, we will notify you and provide you with a copy of the legal process underlying those requests, so that you can have the chance to challenge those requests if you desire.
In exceptional circumstances, Imzy may elect not to provide user notice before complying with the request or may be prohibited by law from providing notice, such as when we receive a non-disclosure order pursuant to 18 U.S.C. § 2705(b). In these situations, Imzy’s policy is to notify the affected users after the non-disclosure period has elapsed.
If you terminate your Account or delete a Username, we are committed to making your personal information inaccessible to others, but that may not be completely possible due to the social nature of content shared through Imzy. When you post something publicly, others may choose to comment on it, copy it, and modify it, making your content part of a conversation that can’t later be erased without disrupting the conversations of other users. You can still delete your comments and posts, of course, but you can’t delete other people’s content that may reference yours. Simply put, it’s hard to remove something completely that has been posted publicly, so please think twice before you post.
