It's the place to talk about The Professionals, a British action drama from the 1970s.
Anyone else a fan of the Professionals? Intros go here!
I thought I'd put up this post to create a space where folks new to Imzy/Professionals could talk about their Pros-y interests. Are you a Bodie babe? Or do you die for Doyle? How did you first find the Professionals: tv, video, DVD, zines, vids? Put it here.

Hi there. Was just wandering Imzy and saw this, and some familiar names in the comments. :-)
I don't know if this place will take off or not, but if it does, we should have the name! How did you get into Pros, SS?
Good to see a fledgling Pros presence here!
I became aware of the Professionals when a friend of mine suggested I see a few episodes, and she cunningly sent me a burned disc with 3 or 4 eps on it. Mixed Doubles and Blind Run were two of them, I think. I was instantly hooked and started hunting for zines about Bodie and Doyle everywhere.
Hello...
Hello! I'll be dishing out Pros recs at Fandom_dealer starting at the end of the week. Any suggestions?
So, just exploring here, and naturally gravitated to the Pros lounge! I got in to Pros through the wonder of fans sharing their love. They told me a variety of things, most of which didn't ping for me, until they said: "And Bodie goes ballistic any time Doyle is in danger." That was it, really. g I watched 4th-generation vid copies, and read stories, and fell in love with the lads and their relationship.
It's always fun to hear how people got into Pros originally! I'm surprised you could see anything on 4th-generation copies, though. Was it the stories or the vids that did the trick, do you think?
Good question! I think it was the stories, actually. I watched two barely-able-to-be-seen episodes at a con, then went home with stories. The episodes were all right, but the stories were terrific. Then a friend sent me vids, and selected episodes, and I joined Proslib (then an email library) and got hooked. I absolutely adored the episodes, and hungered for more--and for better quality--but the fiction kept me going. Okay, so both, really, but it was the fiction that got me to ask for more episodes.
The "episodes were all right, but the stories were terrific" really rings true for me as well. I found that there were simply tons of well-written stories in this fandom. Still haven't read 'em all.
