December festivities

Do you like the upcoming holiday period?

Love it! We decorate inside and out, we throw at least one party and attend as many others as we can. We try to be generous with what we give and grateful for what we receive.

So much of the year we are tied up with day to day life that we forget to slow down and enjoy. During the Holiday Season we make a conscious effort to stop and look around. Some years we do a better job of it than others but it is always worth the effort.

Nope, nope, nope. If I didn't have a child, Christmas wouldn't exist in my home. I buy some gifts he wants and some stuff he needs, but we don't decorate the house or anything. Only thing we enjoy is playing with whatever he got, then curling up to watch terrible Christmas movies.

There are two periods I don't like: my birthday in June and the December period. Social obligations I wish I could skip.

Same answer!! Also my birthday is around the same time for two other people, so it's three social obligations. My own birthday is a social obligation I don't want at all. Wish people would understand that not everyone wants a party or a gathering for their birthday.
