I was never a big fan of beetroot but I like to experiment with flavors, even with those ingredients which I wouldn't normally give too much attention to. It is all about following recipes or even creating them and finding flavors that really work together.




I'm not quite sure what to make of this. I've never heard of a soup remotely like this. It almost seems like a cross between a soup and one of those green (or in this case, red) veggie smoothies/V8 juice.
Probably a little bit too adventurous for me, but I believe it is good for people with a broader palate than mine, haha. Do you eat it all by itself or with other stuff?
I had it as a starter, followed by a salad. But on a very hot day, when you're not too hungry, you could have it as a very light lunch.
Ah, yeah, I guess that makes a lot more sense. I don't usually bother with appetizers/starters when I'm just cooking for me, haha, so I was thinking of it more as an entree.
Cool foods are always nice on hot days though. :)
