The greatest rewards in my life have come from reflection, hard graft, and simply waiting out the clock. I learned how to be good on a stage, how to read my work to a room of people, how to sit so the microphone in the radio studio catches every nuance of my voice, how to walk into a room and gauge the potential danger from the men present, and how to navigate a space with unknown (or known) white people.
News of the guilty verdict brought abstract discussions and arguments about execution that are thoroughly beside the point. To be fair, it is only natural to desire revenge, and many people taking the position are fundamentally venting, for what else can be done in this situation?
This analysis is as complete as they come. There is nothing in this process about healing.
