I'm a bit of an infectious disease buff and I hadn't read about this one specifically either. I'm not surprised it turned out to be from the paramyxoviridae family though.
We're currently experiencing a Mumps outbreak in parts of Canada. Fun fact! Those viruses are both from the same family.
That's a decidedly un-fun fact.
Hopefully everyone gets their vaccinations up to date and we can stomp this one out again.
Sadly, the anti-vax movement isn't helping much that regard. Has that movement hit Canada like it has the US?
