Really exicted to see this finally get announced with a location. Since I sit on the RSL Fan Council we've been talking with the FO and they've given us some hints this was coming down the pipe, making comments like DLH is a builder, he can't stop building, etc, and this would hold up that image of building a very large soccer legacy here in Utah.

If this facility holds, it would be the nicest facility in North America which could attract large clubs like Barca, United, etc to come and hold preseason training here. The ability for us to build relationships with those clubs, could mean greater and greater things for RSL.

I'm under no delusion that MLS still has a way to go when it comes to the global playing field. A 3.8M-ish salary cap with DP slots doesn't truly make for a competative team globally, and other CBA elements make it difficult to break through the glass ceiling immediately.

That all being said, this will go an extremely long way into building the type of experience that attracts talent, and when you compare it to the Xango Field days prior to America First Field, its not even the same club we're considering, is it?

Credit to DLH and Andy Carol for pushing through the negativity and trying to build the type of soccer brand that we desire for our club and the facilities to match it.
