I absolutely love the progres Velazco has made playing for the Monarchs. He was a bit rusty as I watched him last season, but this season he seems far more mature and ready to take on the mantle of being a #10. I would still like to see him use the parts around him more at times he still has a give me the ball mentality.
No better way to explain this would be his relationship with Baéz this weekend up top. The two almost had a disconnect in their play with one or the other getting the ball and using everyone but the other in the run of play. This might be due to them not clicking on the same page right now, but I would expect a mature #10 to get beyond that and work with what's on the field, not who they click best with.
