A complete Harry Potter read through.
Week 5 | Chapters 15-17

Woo! We've made it to the final four chapters of the book! Were you duped by JKR and the trio pointing fingers at Snape? Would you be brave enough to try to save the sorcerer's/philosopher's stone from evil? Did you cheer at how everyone's friendships evolved? Discuss all the things!

So, instead of sending well trained witches and wizards into the forest to help Hagrid find these unicorn killers, they send a couple of eleven year olds? Also...why can't they look during the daytime? What is up with Hogwarts and trying to get their students killed?
I'm surprised there wasn't a couple of 6th or 7th years who had detention that would've been better equipped to go out into the Forbidden Forest with Hagrid. Hogwarts' detention system is very odd lol. It's like The Magicians where they might randomly die during the semester and everyone is like, JUST ANOTHER DAY AT HOGWARTS.
Lol, yes! And I hadn't thought about older students. Now that I think of it, it's very odd that others didn't have detention. It would have been interesting to see older students with them.
Same here. You know older students were pulling bigger hijinks lol. Fred and George alone were always wracking up detention time.
Right? And Lee Jordan seems like he'd step out of line sometimes, always in good fun. I'm thinking about his commentary and his giant spider. Not to mention, his being good friends with the twins.
Yes!!!! The three of them alone were getting detention all the time, but it seemed like we rarely saw anyone else in detention. We only heard about other people having detention in passing!
Cough Hagrid lost Gryffindor 150 points cough.
Behind on my reading x.x gonna try and finish this by the end of the week.
You got this! Even if you get to finish it, there's always time later <3 We got you!
I got one more chapter to read! RWAR!
I'm dead that Draco wanted to be with Fang in the Forbidden Forest. You'd think he would've latched onto Hagrid because they were splitting into groups. Anyway, that poor unicorn! Holy snap at the foreshadowing about Harry's scar that none of us realized at the time.
Making a pineapple tap dance sounds like a fun spell tbh.
In hindsight, the ending of this book would've been a lot less dramatic of Harry, Hermione, and Ron didn't try to save the Sorcerer's Stone from falling into the wrong hands lol. ngl, I probably would've straight up fainted when Quirrel revealed Voldemort's face living under his turban!
Dumbledore was totally trolling by waiting until the end of year feast to give out the last big round of points lol.
