My little personal corner of the web. This one is all about me, and that's OK.
Sometimes you need a little mindless entertainment

Is anyone out there? I don't think I know many people on Imzy...and some of the buttons don't seem to be working...
Anyhow, as I don't celebrate Christmas, I still like to watch british holiday comedies. I love old BBC comedies like TO THE MANOR BORN and LAST OF THE SUMMER WINE, even though some folks might be bored to tears by the dry humor. I've always felt I was born in the wrong country, 90% of things I love most come from the UK. This BBC holiday comedy DVD is one I watch every year, Christmas episodes of some of my favorite programs. If Matt and I could afford it, we would have moved to England, like, yesterday. American entertainment seems to be more about profit while British entertainment seems more focused on creativity. American culture has no appeal to me whatsoever. Put me in England, Scotland, Ireland or Wales. To me, that would be bliss.
We watch TV at home, but only very specific things. Most of the time it's on BBC or PBS, but we also love Once Upon a Time. We watch game shows at dinner time. If I'm up late and I can't sleep, it's 80's sit-coms (they help me fall asleep again). Matt likes The Walking Dead, which I can't bear to watch. I'm usually in another room, as I don't particularly enjoy watching people getting eaten alive by zombies. I know it's not real, but those kind of images stay with me for awhile and I'd just rather not...I'm not a fan of horror films and such.
Another program I can't get enough of is the British Antiques Roadshow. (So much better than the US version). Those folks in England find things in their attic or passed down from grandparents, things steeped in history that once belonged to royalty. I am glued to the screen.
Well, I'd love to add more photos here but there doesn't seem to be a way to do that.
That "insert image" thingy doesn't appear to be working.
Maybe it's my computer. I don't know. Maybe it's me.

I'm here! Just really, really tired these days. Hard to keep up with things.
A nice hot beverage in Scotland sounds lovely :-)
I'll be watching Blackadder's Christmas Carol many times in the coming days ;-)
