This community is about roleplaying (if you don't know what that is its basically you making a story)
Getting Started
Alright guys, looks like nothing has been happening at all. We need to get the ball rolling if we're going to get the RP community we rightfully deserve.
First and foremost, I have some ideas as to the steps we should immediately take. So, without any other blathering, here we go:
Let's build a world. Nothing complex, just themes. Set up a central location / realm.
Let's start making and creating a list of threads where people can actively participate in some RP. I'm not really a fan of the forum-style RP's that drag out brief scenes over hours and days as people log in or out, but I think we can do something with live threads here and really encourage people to be active. In older yahoo RP we usually had rooms set up for distinct locations- I think something like that would work well here.
Let's get a character thread up and get some standard profiles going. Encourage people to be creative.
Feedback is appreciated, but in a few hours I'm going to create our worldbuilding thread so that we can get something going there.

I believe you and I might be the only ones who are still actually a part of this group.
You, me, and one other dude. But it's a start.
Is the goal here to have a single RP'ed experience, or to talk about RP, games, etc. in general? It feels like something as broadly named as 'roleplaying' ought to have an equally broad charter.
I think that's something the three of us (aka "The Community") could talk about, but I originally joined to help create a jumping off point for freeform roleplay or discussions of roleplay (I used to love the Yahoo! Instant Messenger RP scene, but that died twelve+ years ago.).
Sounds good so far. Different worlds/games will probably want their own communities or corners to play in, but you can make this a good jumping-off point for finding people.
There's a couple challenges. Driving traffic to here, and guiding people to what they're looking for. To get traffic, you probably want to spread your net wide, find similar communities, make them "neighbors", talk about what you're interested in doing. To guide people, let's actually get something started. This post mentioned a world-building thread, so why not start that? Nothing attracts interest like interesting things. I'm happy to contribute to this latter effort, though I'm too new to Imzy to know where to look for existing RP.
