Last night I had one of the best meals of my life at Provisions. To start, @Stephen and I shared a pressed juice with passion fruit, basil, ginger ale and ginger. Then we share the steamed buns with home made pickles. They were mind blowing. For the main course we both ordered a large plate. Stephen had the seafood chowder, which tasted like a mild thai curry, and I had the pea tortelli, which was delicious, but the real show stopper was the side of wild mushrooms. The flavor was Asian-infused without being over the top, and the poached egg on top was nothing short of a masterpiece. The egg is soft-poached, the rolled in panko bread crumbs, the DEEP FRIED for 30 seconds. I know because I made our waitress explain the process in great detail.

Provisions is on the pricier side of SLC cuisine, but well worth the money. It will be our new go-to special occasions spot.
