2017 marks 20 years since Shakespeare's Globe opened! I visited here just before it opened (you could go in and see what they were up to/how far along they were with the construction, it just wasn't officially opened) and I also went again yesterday (...the day before yesterday? Time zones and jet lag argh) before catching my flight out of the country! Have any of you guys been to Shakespeare's Globe? Or the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse? If so, what did you think of it?

I got to go on 2012. Got a cheap ticket as a groundling to see Taming of the Shrew. It was so awesome. Ive gotten to see a few stagings (mostly here in the Philippines) but this one was definitely fun and very different. Felt modern but committed to a classic approach
