A little about myself

I'm in my early thirties and work for a EdTech company in NYC. I went through a horrible breakup in late 2015 with my fiance at the time and had to deal with moving out, no longer seeing my son daily (8 months old at the time), heartache, disbelief, anger, sadness, and every negative emotion you can think of.

After three months of sulking and feeling sorry for myself, I decided to man the fuck up. I started working out both at a gym and joining kickboxing in the process losing over 50 lbs in about a year.

I started dating shortly after and had some great and not so great experiences that I will be sharing in the future.

I went through the court system, been called a bad dad by my ex, and many times felt hopeless and wanted to just through in the towel. However, that is something I couldn't do regardless of how my son's mother treated me.

Currently, we keep things professional and curtious and the court system is no longer involved. She has recently married (poor bastard) and now more than ever I make sure that I keep myself involved with my son.

To single dads outthere, yes it isn't easy but things get better as long as you do not give up and take care or yourself so that you can be there for your kids!
