At first when reading the headline, I was like... Why? After reading further this makes sense. Essentially the sensors in DSLR cameras are more likely to generate noise when they're warm.

    True confession: I've never photographed celestial stuff. No idea where to start, but enjoy others' pictures immensely.

      Me either, but I've always thought it would be fun. Didn't realize they had issues like this, but it does make sense.
