I got about 2000 words down in one fic, and got some outlining done on another. That's actually pretty good for me! Hopefully it lasts when I start working again next week.
I've been writing and thinking about worldbuilding for an original fic story and its theoretical sequel, and for a lot of it i've been writing longhand in a notebook. eight A5 pages on square grid in my small and tight block printing or small and loopy cursive.
I managed to ask myself a hum dinger of a story question for the next book and I am a little bit terrified of it.
I wrote about 4k this week, put up a new chapter on a fic, and started working in earnest on the pre-planning for the original fic I'm going to write next.
Last week I posted my first PWP. It's not the first I've written, but it was the first I shared with anyone. I forgot to report on it then, but I'm pretty proud of myself for having the guts to do that.
This week has been a m e s s. I'm participating in a comic competition - deadline is Nov. 1. tl;dr my friend who was supposed to write the script backed out when I pushed her to get her crap together and give me a script.
So.... I'm writing a brand new script, from scratch, and then I'm illustrating 5 comic pages in three weeks. So far I have 2800 words of outline down. The plan is to finish that tonight (between errands, and freelance work...) and hopefully get the script for the sample pages finished.
The next week will be storyboarding and sketching the 5 pages out. I'm going to be hanging out here, but unfortunately probably won't be able to write for the rest of October. That really hurts, because I feel like I budgeted my time to leave me some breathing room and I've had the rug pulled out from under me. I really want to finish at least my October ghost prompt, since I know where that is going, but I don't think I can.
My DCBB is getting betaed but I've written about 3k of my original stuff, played with writing pitches.
I've been laid up with a torn or contused (we won't know until insurance approves the MRI) meniscus. So in the mean time, I've written 7,115 words, beta read or edited about 97,000, and outlined the first four chapters of another piece I plan on writing. Among the 7k new words was the end of a rough draft!
