My tests say my liver function is slightly abnormal and I'm meant to have an abdominal ultrasound Friday, am I meant to be worried? I asked my doctor if I should be worried but she didn't answer me.

    I had that last fall.

Basically if they see anything weird you'll probably get more blood tests and maybe a biopsy to rule out autoimmune hepatitis and junk.

Fortunately mine came back ok and subsequent blood tests were back to normal.

Try not to worry too much until after you get the ultrasound results. At this point they're just looking.

💜 let us know how things go!

i have a family history of autoimmune problems and test positive for ANA, but I'm more concerned about possible liver damage from years of panadeine forte.

Yeah I was kinda in the same boat except my ANA only came back a little positive in early 2016 (not enough for any diagnosis) and got brushed off as a medically induced result from some junk medication I had to take. I've been on so much crap that causes liver damage that I usually have my blood tested at least every 6 months. Never a blip until last year. So hopefully you don't have to worry about liver damage yet...

Crossing my fingers for you. 💜

because of bad reaction to tramadol and going cold turkey from diazepam i have to reschedule to next week, i've been twitching and getting heart palpitations and sleep disturbances. I told my doctor about the twitching and she INCREASED my dose. so now i have to rest to make up for the stress it put on me.

I had that before as well. It happened that my meds were making my liver fatty. I basically ended up having to get weekly blood screenings until they ended up pulling me off the meds and then it took another couple months of weekly tests until the tests started coming back normal.

You basically just have to see what the ultrasound says.

I had one of those a few months ago, along w a hepatitis blood test. Mine came back normal (except some small gallstones, they did like my whole abdomen) as well. I'd agree try not to worry as much as possible until you get the results back!

well i don't have a gallbladder any more so I know it can't be gallstones!
