Well, frick, I might be developing a repetitive strain injury.
I'm not sure if this belongs here, given that though I am a spoonie, this isn't the reason for it. Not sure where else to put this, though.
Anyway, I'm starting to get shooting pains in my left wrist, on the underside. It's pretty mild and I ignored it at first. Then it began happening more and more. It's going to be a while before I can see a doctor; in the meantime, if any of you have experience with this sort of thing, what did you do to take care of it?
Currently typing this one-handed. RIP me.

yeah I get that too, I am supposed to wear a wrist brace when it happens but it's not practical because I go to the loo so much! For me, I also have a ganglion on my left wrist so my doctors think that could be contributing to the pains.
i take off my braces every few minutes... but when one hand is packaged so neatly i don't want to take it off, i just don't use it when i'm on the loo :S lucky for having 2 hands
i have lots of pain in wrists (hypermobility and dislocations) and i use wrist braces for any kind of wrist/ hand pain. i tried out several different kinds of braces, it depends on what kind of support, pressure, and positioning your wrist needs in order to be happy. for some problems, it's enough to wear wrist braces only at night, if it's a strain problem it might be advisable to wear it while working with the hand too. they are really fucking annoying at first!
Mine might have been a bit different I felt it more down the side of my arm and into my fingers but I found massage was really helpful (neck, back and arm). If that sounds like your thing maybe give it a shot?
