Newish Book: The World According to Star Wars by Cass R. Sunstein
If you're looking for a fun non-fiction Star Wars book that is a really quick read, this book is great! I just finished it last night and it kept me thinking long after the last page.
The book is an examination of the effect that the Star Wars films have had on our society and, at the same time, all the different forces that shaped the movies. Sunstein is a legal scholar and expert in behavioral economics, so this book has some moments of deep thought mixed in with the geeky fun.
You don't have to be a hardcore Star Wars fan to appreciate it either, so if you've got a parent or sibling that likes Star Wars (maybe not as much as you, but enough to know the main characters) it might be a good gift and then you can discuss afterwards.
Has anyone read this? I'd love to know your thoughts! It wasn't perfect, but I still had a fun time reading it.
