Now back to our regularly scheduled programming...
Thanks to Sebastian Stan's role as TJ Hammond in Political Animals (and to a lesser extent, Jack Benjamin in Kings), Political AUs, fusions, and crossovers are pretty popular in Steve/Bucky fic and other fanworks.
What do you like or dislike about Political AUs, fusions, or crossovers? Do you have a preference for one of the three? What related tropes do you enjoy in Political AUs, fusions, or crossovers? Do you ship Steve/Bucky/TJ, Steve/TJ, or any similar other Political Animals crossover pairings in addition to Steve/Bucky? Do you enjoy fusions or crossovers with other political shows such as The West Wing or Hamilton? What are your favorite Steve/Bucky Political AUs, fusions, or crossovers?

Considering what a political junkie I am, I don't read as many of these as I'd expect, but I'm theoretically open to any of them.
I remember particularly enjoying a Marvel/Political Animals Steve/TJ crossover that had Steve as TJ's long-lost childhood friend: The One Who Knows. (CW: discussion of past suicide attempts, depression, and drug use)
On the Steve/Bucky side of things, I'm thoroughly hooked on Snake Eyes even though the Bucky in that fic is much more of a helpless woobie than I usually prefer. I do look forward to his Epic Revenge. (CW: too many to list)
