Share stories about anything - fiction or nonfiction. Have a story about your first crush or a cyborg dragon? Post it.
Welcome, People
I originally created this community in order to flip through block-of-text after block-of-text, and so I could spend my hours here instead of the "website that will not be named." Come to think of it, I probably should have written a welcome post. Better late than never ... welcome to /storytime!
Whenever you think of an embarassing moment that still haunts you, or a new fantasy epic that you want to quickly share, please feel free to submit it here. I promise we won't bite. Just post a relevant title, and hopefully people will have similar stories to share in the comments. That's basically the design of the whole thing, if you have any suggestions for improvements, because it can probably use some, do not hesitate to message me!
That being said, I imagine we all have different visions of what we want from this community. How about you leave a comment below about what you want from it? Do you want a more general writing sub, or a /r/AskReddit copy? The website is still new, so there are still many ways we can grow. This community is what you make of it!
I hope that this grows into something where I can go to in order to pass the time and skim through interesting things people post about their day, explain backstories behind quirky habits, or just unique personal experiences that they want to share. And I hope that one past will lead to similar ones in the comments - sort of like if you click on a post and see four comments, you can probably expect more stories than just the original post.
But hey, we're still at 17 members. The sky's the limit, what do you want from here? I would love to read your opinions.

WOOT. I'm kind of up for anything. I'm personally more interested in short, true stories--interesting things that happened to people, or stories that are told in families for generations, or stories that remind us of life's little extraordinariness. But I'm also an enthusiastic reader of fiction submissions as well.
