LOL, "normal-sized transistor". What does that even mean?
Anyhow, it seems like most of the area is taken up by seven segment displays to show the state of all the registers. I guess that was necessary in order to have any hope of debugging the thing. But it does give you a good look at the inner workings of the processor.
I think it's really cool when people build stuff like this.
I remember reading about someone who createda PC with Minecraft...
