Halt and Catch Fire: The Most Relevant Show on Television

Halt and Catch Fire: The Most Relevant Show on Television

With the cacophony of an election year ablaze with unparalleled drama being fought on the front lines of Twitter, we find ourselves slowing down and staring at it like a bad accident. The need for escapist relief is perhaps more dire than usual right now.

Never even heard of this show. Anyone seen it?

if you're into shows about tech and/or the 80's you'll love it! it's a pretty good show and even has a bi male lead. (not a lot of those on tv)

I love that bi guys are getting real screen time. Not as comic relief or anything, but as real, 3-dimensional characters.

This show is awesome. Especially love how the protagonists switch in the second season. All great actors and the tension built around making computers/software is impressive. Highly recommend.

The first half of the first season almost scared me away from it when I thought it looked too much like a retread Mad Men for the 80's. Then as the show progressed I realized it's basically a deconstruction of that attitude and for that I love Halt and Catch Fire

OMG, this show is seriously so good! Watch the first two seasons RIGHT NOW!

Okay! (Next week, when my schedule isn't packed.)

I quite enjoyed the first half of Season 3 ep.1.. As a fan since Season 1 I hope they can get more viewers this season so the show can stick around for a few more. It isn't without its faults, and can be frustrating at times, but it's worth watching.

If you find a great journey that's worthy of an audience's time, that's what matters, and both those shows have it.

I think she's correct - this is how the best story telling works IMHO
